Car Battery Replacement That Comes to You

A dead battery doesn't need a tow truck. Honest & Affordable Auto comes to wherever your car is sitting in Brevard County, tests the battery and the charging system, and if the battery is the problem we replace it on the spot. You're driving again in under an hour most of the time.

01

Florida heat kills batteries, not cold

Up north batteries die in January. Here they die in August. Heat cooks the plates and boils off electrolyte, and a battery that tested fine in spring can leave you stranded outside Publix in Viera by Labor Day. Three years is a good run for a battery in Brevard. Four is borrowed time.

02

We test before we sell you anything

Slow crank, dim lights, clicking when you turn the key, a battery light on the dash. Those can be the battery, or they can be a tired alternator or a corroded cable. We load-test the battery and check charging voltage first. If it's a cable or a connection, we tell you that and fix that. You only pay for a battery when you need one.

03

Replaced where the car died

Driveway, office lot, the beach parking at Indialantic. We carry batteries on the van for most common vehicles, register the new battery on cars that need it, and take the old one with us for recycling.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can a mobile mechanic replace my car battery?

Yes. Honest & Affordable Auto tests and replaces batteries on-site across Brevard County. Tell us where the car is and what it's doing and we'll come to it.

How do I know if it's the battery or the alternator?

A battery that dies overnight and starts with a jump usually points to the battery. A car that starts fine and then dies while driving, or a battery that keeps dying after being replaced, points to the alternator. We test both before quoting so you replace the right part once.

How long does a battery last in Florida?

Plan on about three years. Heat is harder on a battery than cold, and Brevard summers shorten the life you'd see up north. If yours is past three years and cranking slowly, get it tested before it strands you.

Do you recycle the old battery?

Yes. The old battery leaves with us and goes to a recycler. You don't have to haul it anywhere.
